About Erin
Erin Kalashnikova is a writer and independent researcher with a particular interest in exploring lesser-known currents of esoteric thought and practice and bringing them into wider conversation.
While her interests move through many subjects and disciplines, she is especially drawn to the spiritual and esoteric traditions of Japan and their broader East Asian contexts. Her work explores dreams, animism, geomancy, divination, ritual practice, and the relationships between landscape, ancestors, and spirit. Through her research and writing, she seeks to illuminate hidden, neglected, and untranslated sources, helping to preserve and contextualize them for contemporary audiences.
Her interest in these subjects is also deeply personal, reflecting an ongoing effort to honor and better understand both her Japanese and Eastern European family lineages.
A lover of books and language, she is an avid reader, traveler, photographer, and collector of antiques. She maintains a particular affection for strange tales, decadent literature, Symbolist writers, and the places where history, dream, and myth converge.
Erin is the creator of Liminal Library, an independent publication devoted to esotericism, culture, and the unseen dimensions of human experience. She currently resides beside the sea in New England.
